Christmas time

I got some yummy chocolates from my secret Santa. I got first pick out of the basket!

Girls group

This week in girls group we are doing a pamper session and some of us girls are getting makeup or our nails painted for the Christmas party tonight. I was looking through this magazine getting some ideas.

iPad time

I like to play on the iPad and play sensory games

Christmas craft

I had fun sticking on all these colourful sequins to make a star shape on a Christmas card.

Nz sign language BUNTING......

I helped laminate, cut and hang the New Zealand sign language bunting for the centre. It looks so cool and now I can learn the sign language for the days of the week......

Glow sticks

In sensory I got to play around with the glow sticks. There were a few different sizes and colours and I had fun breaking them and seeing the glow start glowing. Then I would shake it and the colour would spread though the whole glow stick. 

iPad music

I have some music playing on the iPad. It makes me happy and I like to sing along and tap a beat.

Building towers

I enjoyed making tall towers out of blocks.The fun part was getting to knock them down. It makes me laugh.

Historic village murals

We went to the historic village to check out some of the new murals like the one behind us!

Resene paint shop

We went to visit the guys down at Resene paint shop. They had a big box of paint to donate to the centre. It was so nice of them.

Mirimiri

This week in mirimiri I enjoyed a foot massage whilst chilling out on the bean bag! 

Girls afternoon outing

I had a lovely time

with the girls group. I had a nice cold lemonade on a warm day and watched the girls play pool. A great way to spend the afternoon.......

Hand massage

I enjoy my hand massages in mirimiri. We are using a beautiful cream that smells of mango and I can't stop sniffing it!

Art

I've been busy doing one of my goals to create a hand painted canvas to take home. I think it looks awesome!

TalentQuest

We had such a fun day for the Arohanui TalentQuest. Our music group performed a song called "Thunder and Lightening" and we ate sausages and fish n chips for lunch. 

Puzzles

I enjoy doing puzzles on a morning when I am here before the others arrive. 

Collecting for charity

I helped out collecting money for the charity Canteen up at New World Gate Pa. lots of lovely people donated money and we gave them stickers and balloons.

iPads

Sometimes I like to use the sensory apps on the iPads and other times I like to look into it like a mirror and see my reflection! 

Sensory

I enjoy sensory. It's so relaxing and I get to hang out with my friends. The lights look really pretty on the wall.

Music

I love music so much It's my favourite thing to do. I love clapping to the beat and dancing to the melody.

Girls group

I had heaps of fun looking at all the things in the shop when I went with the girls for a girls afternoon out. We even had a drink in a cafe. It was lots of fun

Sensory

Grass heads

We made grass heads in garden group This is the first hair cut for them The grass grows fast

Keeping the beat

I am such a good beat keeper! We listened to lots of awesome songs and clapped and drummed along! 

Foot spa

I really enjoyed mirimiri this week. My feet had a nice soak in the foot spa and then I had a foot massage. It was relaxing.

Creative art and IPads

Hi everyone I love working on an iPad playing sensory art and doing the jig saw games Its so much fun to do I make lots of pretty colours dance all over the Ipad

Girls group

This week we went down to Fraser Cove have a look around with my friends. We got to look at the pet shop and saw these cute fluffy bunnies. I really enjoyed visiting them.

Miri Miri

I enjoyed a nice leg massage in Miri Miri - the moisturiser smelled good and I put some on my hands afterwards too. 

Shakers

In my music session I enjoyed keeping the beat with the shakers. I can also use them as a microphone. 

Brain Games

I enjoyed Brain Games this week. We got creative with playdoh and challenged ourselves to make different things. I made a pink star.

Sensory

I really enjoy sensory. We always listen to different music with our activities. I really liked listening to aquatic music this week and watching the fishes on the screen.

Fire truck

This week the firemen brought the fire truck so we could have a look. There were lots of hoses on the side of the truck and switches on the other side.

Ukulele

I had an awesome time I my music session strumming along to the music with my ukulele! I am awesome at keeping the beat! 

Head massage

I really enjoyed a relaxing head massage in my Miri Miri session 

iPads

I love the iPad and it is the first thing I look for when I get to Wilrose It is a shame I can't have it all day lol

Sensory

I really enjoyed myself in sensory waving my colourful ribbon around to the music.
