I-sing Christmas Performance

 What a beautiful day I had, listening to my friends sing their hearts out in the I-sing Christmas performance which they spent months practising for. We ended it with a delicious kfc lunch followed by fresh fruit and ice cream for desert, what a treat!

Helping out

 I really enjoyed helping out the staff today. We organised the boxes stored at the back of the art room, some containing all our pamper products, materials for sewing and an assortment of other things. I love lending a hand when I can.

lunch in the garden

I had lunch in the garden with one of my favourite people, Jason. I've been spending as much time as possible in the garden lately, thank goodness for the gazebo, it is hot out there!

Garden time

 I spent the rest of my lunch time sitting in the garden with my friend Crimson, it was lovely to sit and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.

Appreciation flowers

 I coloured in petals for our appreciation flower. Each petal representing what it means to be a good person.

Listening to music

 I loved my sensory and media session. We listened to some groovy music and I even boogied away. 

Wilrose Garden

 The sun is getting warmer and I am enjoying being outside. I like to choose a different hat each day, put on some sunglasses and sunblock and enjoy my happy place our Wilrose garden. 

Rose garden

I had a lovely trip to the rose garden with my friends. I loved walking around the beautiful gardens smelling the roses, I even got to pick a pretty yellow rose. It was a beautiful day!

 

Te whare tapa wha

 I chose to join in te whare tapa wha for a bit this morning. I relaxed in the lazy boy as we watched a documentary on Kingi Tuheitia (Māori king).

Maxwells beach

I spent the morning at Maxwells beach. The day was beautiful, blue skies, sun shinning with a nice breeze through my hair. I loved sitting on the bench seat over looking the beach, watching on as my friends went crab hunting. They found so many!

Card making

 I’m a lady of many talents, today I put on my creativity hat and made a lovely birthday card to add to our box of cards. We celebrate many birthdays at work so it’s always good to be well stocked. I would love to give my card to Jason on his special day.

Purple disco

 I grooved the day away with all of my friends on Friday. We had a purple disco and the room was decorated with pretty purple decorations. It was such a great day and the sandwiches were also very yummy.

Kulim Park

 I had a beautiful outing to Kulim park. I loved listening to the birds chirp and the feeling of the rays on my face. I even played on the merry-go-round. It was lots of fun.

Pamper morning

I enjoyed a lovely morning of pampering. I had my hands massaged with a beautiful body lotion, I also had my back and head massaged. What a treat!

 

Cafe Visit

I had lovely outing to the 16th Ave Cafe with some of my dear friends. I enjoyed a yummy date scone and orange juice. What a lovely treat!

Olympic craft painting

We have an Olympic Day coming up soon and I helped paint what will be our photo frame. I painted it a beautiful yellow, as vibrant as a sunflower. I can't wait to have my photo taken in it.

 

Chilling in the garden

The garden is one of my favourite places to escape too.

It brings me joy and peace especially when I am feeling overwhelmed.

 

Marshalls Animal Farm

I spent the morning checking out different animals at Marshall's animal farm. There was lots to see even a goat git into the van to say hi, he was very friendly, what an amazing day!

Waterfall Scenic Relaxation

I explored waterfalls from all around the world today, from the grand canyon to the beautiful Aotearoa, they were such serene sights. The calming and relaxing music to add was a sweet touch. 

 

Personal books

I enjoy chosing different colours to colour in pretty paper for my personal book while chatting away to my friends. 

Olympics

 I've been watching some of the Olympics lately. This week I helped to create these cool medals that will go out when we have our very own Olympics day! 

Pamper time

 In todays life skills session, we had a lovely pamper morning. I enjoyed a lovely back massage, it felt great!

Reading

 I enjoy floating between sessions, sensory & media or life skills. Today I joined the life skills group and did a bit of theatrical reading. 

Park hopping

I visited three different parks in Tauriko. I enjoyed sitting in the sun while people watching. I loved listening to the birds chirp and fly around. It was a great day out.

 

Pom-Pom making

I made a beautiful pink and blue pom-pom today. I really enjoyed it and at times thought it was hilarious watching the wool get tangled up. 

Drama Production.

I performed in our end of term Drama production today. We performed Goldilocks, The three little bears with a twist of Jack in the Bean Stalk. I’ve been putting in the hard work at Drama and it was such a lovely feeling being able to put on a great show for all of my friends. 

Enjoying Queen

 I spent this afternoon listening to Queen! Guess what? I enjoyed it so much I spent the whole lesson in the sensory room vibing. 

Reading

 I read "Where's Mr Bean" today. I enjoyed counting all the Mr Beans and cracked up at all the pictures.    I ended up moving my chair in front of the mirror so I could see myself read.

Exploring textures

I enjoyed playing with the pom-pom mat today. The pom-poms are so soft and fluffy! 

 

Putting my feet up

 I really enjoy sitting in our rocking chair while in our sensory room. I like to put my feet up and relax, i feel super comfortable....awwww blisssssss.

 

Pom pom making

 I enjoyed helping to make some pom poms in our twinkl session. We are going to make a pom pom mat when we have enough. The wool feels so soft and fluffy!
